Want to have skin like a beauty queen? Look no further than Avis’ Beauty Commandments Featured List.

Born: Melbourne, Australia.

Lives: Currently in Los Angeles (via London town).

Known for: Her less is more approach to beauty and doing things properly.

Success is: Whatever makes you happy… working hard and doing what you love.

People are surprised that: The ‘g’ in my name is silent.

What is your favorite piece of advice when it comes to beauty? ‘Less is more’ borrowed from my mother.

Who is your biggest beauty inspiration? My parents, they are beautiful inside and out. Some girls go through their mother’s closets, I always went through the sample cabinet (do not try this at home!).

My father has always taught me about quality, reading the label and focusing on what was inside the product rather than being misled by the pretty packaging. I think this can be applied to beauty in general, it comes from within.

What are the top three best gifts from your beauty list? Aesop Redemption Body Scrub, Aesop Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser, RMS ‘UN’ Cover-Up.

Most un-loved beauty phrase? I have a few… ‘anti-ageing’ and misleading overuse of the term ‘natural’ and ‘peptide’.

What is your “go-to” gift for family and friends? It depends on the occasion, but I’ve never had a bad response to a tube of Aesop hand cream J, or some good dark chocolate! To accompany this, a hand written card or thank you note is always a good idea.

Any tips on maximizing our morning beauty ritual? In the morning I have a big glass of lemon water and (if I remember) dry brush my body before I get into the shower. I wash my hair with Aesop Classic Shampoo and use the Aesop Rose Hair & Scalp Moisturising Masque on my ends. I’ve always been told never to brush my hair when it’s wet, so I always brush my hair before I jump in.

I like to cleanse my face with Aesop Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser which is gentle on my skin and great for removing makeup.  Every other day I will use the Aesop Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste after I cleanse which keeps my skin feeling smooth. On my body, I have been using the Aesop Redemption Body Scrub and Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser.

Skincare: Whilst my hair is ‘towel drying’ I moisturize my body with Aesop’s Breathless, it’s actually more of an oil and something most people would use before bed but I find it luxurious to start my day on a high, slathered in oil.

After my face has calmed down from the shower, I apply Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner all over my face and down my neck and shoulders. I then apply the Sage + Zinc Facial Hydrating Cream SPF 15, I have been wanting to try the Beautycounter Protect All Over Sunscreen which I would use all over my body.

I have read about a Deodorant called MEOW MEOW TWEET Deodorant Lemon Eucalyptus, which I would also like to try, partly because I’m obsessed with my cat and think she will approve of the purchase.

What is your everyday makeup routine? I generally use RMS ‘UN’ Cover-Up on red areas and the ILIA Moondance SPF 20 which is a beautiful powder giving my face more protection from the sun. I am currently using the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting pencil that I lightly sweep on the bottom area of my brows in the direction of their growth, followed by a good blend with the spoolie.

I will also use a blush, I like the RMS Vogue Rose Lip 2 Cheek or the Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Blush. On my wish list to try is the Studio 78 Paris Blush. Depending on the level of glow needed, I will use the RMS Living Luminizer, I absolutely love RMS! I will use a pencil eyeliner lightly on the bottom outline of my eyes, such as Lily Lolo Eye Pencil.

I often blend a bronzed color and a bit of my blush onto my eyelids, curl my lashes and use a mascara, such as the – Kjaer Weis Mascara. I will always moisturize my lips with a heavy duty balm such as the VAPOUR Lux Organic Lip Conditioner. I’m excited to try the Beautycounter Sheer Lipstick, I generally opt for a sheer color that is dark pink and closer to my lip tone.

And what are you loving for your locks at the moment? I will generally use a small amount of hair oil to protect my hair before I blast it with the hairdryer. I was lucky enough to receive the Dyson hairdryer as a gift which I love, it’s super lightweight and doesn’t annoy my partner or friends in the morning.

On my hair wish list is the Captain Blankenship Mermaid Hair Oil. I have an alarming amount of baby hair and will smooth my front roots out before leaving the rest to dry naturally, I prefer an ‘un-done’ approach when it comes to hair.

For all of those on European and Mexican holiday’s right now, what should they be taking? During the summer holidays (after sunscreen) when my skin tone is a little darker I like to use the Kora Organics Tinted Day Cream. I find it to be lightweight and gives your skin a natural tint when blended correctly. I will brush out my brows, curl my lashes and add one of the RMS Lip 2 Cheek blushes on my lips and cheeks.

What is your signature scent? Since I was younger, I have been wearing a fragrance by Santa Maria Novella. I visited their store when I was five and thought it was a magical experience.

I also like to wear fragrances gifted to me by my partner Marek, it makes me feel like Joséphine de Beauharnais (but hopefully without the tragic ending!)

Most loved… App: Instagram Website: Emoji: 💃 Instagram stalk: @natgeo and my little brother (just to check he is behaving!) Book: ‘The Girls’ by Emma Cline Album: I’m really into soundtracks at the moment such as Marie Antoinette, The Mission, Portrait of a Lady and Baby Driver Binge Show: Homeland and Fargo
